Arizona - But It's a Dry Heat!

Back in the day, when we were living in Mexico we too had one of this. All of our clothes were washed there by hand. Our first clothes washing machine came much later. When we first moved to the US we did all of our washing at a public laundermat.

I would love to kneel and say a prayer in that little church.

Also, when we visited some of my husbands relatives in Tennessee, they still washed clothes by hand, and the toilet was outside too.

A simple way of life ~~~

Yep! We used the laundromat for probably the first ten years of our marriage. In the village in England where I grew up, the women boiled their clothes in a large tub. Imagine the steamy smell and humidity in their two room cottages!

With all the laundry that accumulates with the 5 people in my family... I would be doing a load a day. Sheesh! That's tiring!
