Arizona - But It's a Dry Heat!

"Antique"

This small air organ was owened by my dad. He played it in church when he was a teenager and a cousing of ours brought it to him from Mexico almost 50 year later. This is definitely an antique that was sitting right in front of my eyes as I struggled all week to think of a picture that would qualify for this weeks photo hunt entry. Wow, that's cool. I had one (well, it was my grandfathers - I played it as a child) but they sold it =( Wish I still had it.

Oh wow, that looks so old. Very cool photo! Happy hunting. :)
What a perfect photo for the theme! A lot of churches had small organs before getting the big brass ones!
Have a great weekend!
Mine's up!

The perfect antique, yes. Make me wonder how it sounded. Mr Lifecruiser plays piano and I love to listen. Orgen is a bit different, but can be very beautiful too.

On our wedding they played on an organ from the 18th century in the church, that really made us feel the wings of history.

What a precious memory! That's surprisingly small but very beautiful.

This is a great pump organ. I always am amazed at the amount of stamina it must have taken to play one of these. Not only did you have to know the music but you had to move your fingers over the keys while pumping with both feet. As someone who finds it difficult to walk and chew gum at the same time... I just am amazed.
